OK, so I'm walking down the street passing little bike shops, see a classic Forever (new) with the weird old brake grips etc. Just what I'm looking for. The salesman comes out and quotes 498 RMB. I did not just fall off the turnip truck.

Any take on what a new(er) Forever/FP should cost? I am looking for a relatively nice but hopefully not theft-bait model. I don't really want a modern mountain-bike, the classic is nice...

Any good shops in Haidian?

Next step is learning to ride in BJ traffic, so I guess a helmet and bike lock (or three) are in order?
